Plinth Sign – Douglas Mawson Drive – V complex sign with interchangeable panels
Our client wanted to portray that they were the home of some of the best trade businesses in the region. Â Keeping this in mind, we went to work on designing a sign reflecting strength and stability to best reflect these business. We were required to fabricate two individual frames which would be joined onsite, sheet the framework with ACM and spray with 2pac finish to ensure longevity on the colour. We had to be mindful within the design of how many businesses needed to be displayed and these needed to be interchangeable with ease and without damaging to the sign.
After excavating the piers ready for the concrete footings, which used rag bolts being set within the concreting the footings, we transported the two frames to the installation site and craned the frames into position, ensuring they were installed square and level. Although this project looked straight forward, it required attention to detail in relation to all specification of engineer specs and WHS requirements.
